Table origami – how to origami table instructions

Prepare 1 sheet of origami, and fold in half.

Unfold. Fold right hand side so that right edge meets vertical center line.

Flatten. Fold left hand side so that left edge meets vertical center line, and flatten.

Fold in half.

Unfold. Vally-fold so that top edge meets horizontal center line.

Vally-fold so that bottom edge meets horizontal center line, and unfold.

Hold the origami, but open the right-top layer, just like what we did in house origami

Open the left-top layer as well.

And flatten. We used this technique in Boatd origami too.

Open the right bottom flap and left bottom flap

And flatten. Hold the left bottom flap and

And open it to make a small square. Flatten.

Do the same thing for all other corner flaps so that now you have 4 squares on the
1st layer.

Vally-fold left bottom flap’s upper edge over so that it lies along the diagonal fold line.
Vally-fold left bottom flap’s right edge over so that it lies along the diagonal fold line.

Vally-fold the bottom left corner. Repeat the instructions for all other squares.

Unfold. Open the bottom left 1st layer.

At the same time, fold the bottom left 1st layer so that edges (that were
originally right edges of the square) meet the diagonal center line,
and the edges (that were originally left edges of the square) meet
the diagonal center line, as shown.

Repeat the same instructions for all other squares. Flip over the origami.

View from the top of origami table. If you prefer, you can fold the table legs a little
so that it stands stable.
