Very easy simple locust / cicada origami – How to origami Cicada or locust instructions for kids

Prepare 1 sheet of origami paper and fold in half to make a triangle.

Fold again to make 1/4 size triangle.

Unfold. Valley-fold to bring the right hand corner to meet the top.

Valley-fold to bring the left hand corner to meet the top. Valley-fold the
1st layer top corner downward, as shown.

Valley-fold the 1st layer top corner downward, as shown.
Valley-fold the next layer top corner downward so that we can see the inside
(white color)

Flatten. Lastly valley-fold the last layer top corner downward, as shown..

Now, mountain-fold the right hand corner and flatten, as shown in the picture.

Mountain-fold the left hand corner and flatten.
Cicada /locust origami! Draw eyes if you like :)
