How to origami boat with a rectangle paper

Prepare a piece of rectangle paper. A regular 8×11 printing sheet is perfect : )
Fold in half.

Fold again to 1/4 size rectangle.

Unfold the sheet. Fold to center.

Fold the left to center as well. Fold the top edge.

It should look like this now. Flip over the origami.

Fold the top edge again to the same depth.

We are going to open…

Ooooopen and flatten.

Rotate the origami 45 degree counter clockwise. Fold the front layer in half.

Flatten the front layer. Flip over the origami.

The other side should look like this. Fold the front layer again in half.

We are going to open the triangle again…

Ooooopen and flatten.

You can use both hands to pull out the top layers to the right & left
sides at the same time.

Open and flatten.
